Neberu Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

Neberu doesn’t collect any of your data. Your recordings and notes stay on your iPhone. Only during AI cleansing is the recognized text sent to Apple for processing, and Apple doesn’t keep it.

We don’t collect data

Neberu has no accounts and no servers of its own, and it contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting code. The developer can’t see your recordings, your text, or how you use the app.

Where your data is stored

When data leaves your iPhone

  1. AI cleansing. After you finish recording, the recognized text (not the audio) is sent to Apple Intelligence on Apple’s servers, which turns it into a cleaned-up note with a title and sends the result back to your iPhone. According to Apple, this data is used only to fulfill that one request, isn’t stored, and isn’t accessible to Apple.
  2. Language packs. The first time you use Neberu, your iPhone downloads speech recognition language packs from Apple. This is a download only; your recordings aren’t uploaded. Speech recognition itself happens on your iPhone.
  3. When you share or copy. When you share a Markdown file or copy all text, the content goes to the app or place you choose, and that destination’s privacy policy applies.

Permissions

You can turn these off at any time in your iPhone’s Settings. Without them, Neberu can’t record.

Diagnostics provided by Apple

If you turn on Share With App Developers in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple provides developers with crash reports and aggregated usage statistics. Apple collects and processes this information, it doesn’t include your recordings or notes, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings.

Deleting your data

We don’t hold any of your data, so there’s nothing to ask us to delete.

Children

Neberu doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If Neberu ever starts collecting any data, we’ll tell you in the app first.
